GUIDELINES

Submission guidelines & technical requirements

  • Format: Accept a link (Vimeo, unlisted YouTube, Google Drive) OR a still image for preview. We recommend Vimeo for highest playback reliability.
  • Length: Shorts up to 40 minutes.
  • Language: Include English subtitles if film is not in English.
  • Rights: You must hold distribution/public screening rights to submit. We ask you agree to our rights checkbox on the form.
  • Legal Responsibility: You are solely responsible for ensuring your submission doesn't infringe any third-party rights. PLENTIFILM requires confirmation of rights ownership.
  • Indemnification: By submitting, you agree to indemnify PLENTIFILM against any claims arising from your content.
  • Response time: Selections are announced monthly. If selected, we'll contact you by email.
If your file is too large to upload, provide a secure viewing link and password (if applicable). We recommend using Vimeo or Google Drive.

Is there a submission fee?

No—PLENTIFILM does not charge submission fees. We keep submissions free to promote accessibility.

Can I submit more than one film?

Yes. Submit each film separately using the form.

Do you accept festival premiere requests?

Yes — indicate premiere status in the additional notes. We cannot guarantee festival placements, but we do consider premiere requests.

How will I know if my film is selected?

We notify selected filmmakers via email using the contact address provided on the form.

What rights do I grant PLENTIFILM?

You grant a non-exclusive license to display and promote your film if selected. You retain all ownership rights. See our Submission Terms for details.
